A wide range of KUBO installations makes it possible to organize domestic wastewater treatment stations of various sizes. Cleaning technology combines mechanical (settling, filtration) and biological (aerobic oxidation of organic contaminants) methods.

Operating principle of the KUBO equipment

  • Wastewater enters the wastewater stabilizer. In the homogenizer, wastewater is accumulated and averaged to ensure a uniform supply of wastewater for treatment.
  • The main purification is carried out using combined biological methods in bioreactors. Organic pollution is oxidized in an aerobic bioreactor. Oxidation occurs with oxygen from the air pumped by the blower. Membrane aeration elements in the aeration system can significantly reduce energy costs and reduce blower power. The service life of membrane aerators is much higher than conventional ones. They are easy to use and do not require specialized cleaning.
  • Purification in aerobic bioreactors is carried out by a colony of microorganisms – activated sludge.
  • Detained contaminants are removed in a settling tank. Its design makes it possible to separate effectively activated sludge and purified water.
  • Purified water is disinfected with a sodium hypochlorite solution, which is much safer than free chlorine.
  • The final stage of purification occurs on the bioplateau.
  • During the oxidation process, the amount of sludge continuously increases. This sludge is called excess sludge. Therefore, part of the sludge (excess activated sludge) is taken from the settling tank and supplied for dewatering to a filter in which it is compacted. The dewatered sludge is periodically unloaded from the filter into a trash can and transported to places designated by local governments, and approved by the sanitary and epidemiological station and the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources.
  • Disinfected and purified water can be discharged into a reservoir and then used for irrigation or washing.

Equipment design

Depending on the method of treatment facilities placement, there are two possible options for implementing a domestic wastewater treatment plant:

  • the tanks are designed from monolithic reinforced concrete, and the electrical equipment (blowers) is located indoors.
  • underground version of treatment facilities. The main technological tanks are made of plastic and placed in reinforced concrete rings, and the electrical equipment (blowers) is in a separate well. This option does not require a separate room for technological equipment.

Complex advantages

  • high cleaning efficiency – 95-98%;
  • simplicity of operation and maintenance of equipment;
  • small area for installation of treatment facilities;
  • no need for additional equipment;
  • little time spent on supplying and setting up equipment;
  • low power consumption;
  • obtaining high quality purified water for technological needs.
